17h10 – 18h10 Tom Blok and Charles Fischer present:
“How resilient is your organisation in the face of the current water crisis?”

Tom is a partner, while Charles is an Associate Director within PwC’s Risk Assurance division.

Tom and Charles have more than 20 years of experience each in Risk Assurance, with key areas of focus Governance, Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit, Business Resilience, Transformation Assurance and Technology and ERP controls.

They are members of South African Institute of Chartered Accountants, Institute of Internal Auditors and Information Systems Audit and Control Association.

Tom looks after Risk Assurance in the Cape Town office. He is also responsible for PwC’s internal Business continuity management program and in this capacity is involved in the development of PwC Cape Town’s own water scarcity plan.

Charles is responsible for PwC’s Operational resilience service offering and has over the years assisted many clients with the development and testing of their Business Continuity Plans. In this capacity he now assists his clients with the development of water scarcity plans.
